Free demonstration classes: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, February 10 - 12 at 11:00 AM at the Wilkins School Community Center in Regent Square The February demonstration classes are part of a Music Together teacher training, led by Lili Levinowitz, co-founder of Music Together. To visit a class during the session, please use the demo link further down this page. The Collection for the Winter session will be "Bells." Winter classes began January 5 and will run for 10 weeks.  The spring session will start April 9; the 6 week summer session will begin on June 25 Registration for both the spring and summer sessions will open on February 20. From February 20 to March 5, only families who are enrolled for the winter session will be able to register. During that time, you will need the preregistration code that will come to you in an email to complete your registration. General registration for the spring session will open March 6. Summer registrations are taken in the order received, so you will not need a preregistration code to register for summer classes. You can register for summer classes as early as February 20. Registration for the each session is open through the third meeting of each class.   Late registrations are accepted until the third class meeting. Winter weather cancellaton policy: for weekday classes, we will only cancel classes if the school district cancels school for the entire day. In the event of a delay, First Notes will meet according to the regular schedule. Pittsburgh Center for the Arts follows the Pittsburgh Public Schools, Wilkins School Community Center follows Woodland Hills, Pine Richland follows the Pine Richland School District, and Wexford follows North Allegheny. The evening and weekend classes at the Wilkins School will follow the decision of the Community Center. Please listen to KDKA, WTAE,  or WPXI in the event of inclement weather. Classes cancelled due to inclement weather will be made up whenever possible, or you will be given other options to make sure that you receive all ten classes in the session. Returning First Notes families:
$175 for the first child, $125 for siblings 8 months and older during fall, winter, and spring sessions.
$130 for the first child, $80 for siblings 8 months and older for the summer session.
Families new to First Notes add $15 one time registration fee.

 

Please note: This schedule is subject to change. Classes may be combined or cancelled due to enrollment. Teachers may change according to staffing needs.
All classes are mixed ages, except as noted.

We can only guarantee that siblings will be placed in the same class, and regret that we cannot guarantee that requests for placing friends in the same classes will be honored. Only children living in the same household are considered siblings. Please do not register unrelated children as siblings.

Send your check to Music Together First Notes, PO Box 90004, Pittsburgh PA 15224.  If you choose to do this, please remember that your registration is not final until payment is received. Your spot will be held for three business days following your online registration.

Preference for the Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions is given in the following order:

• Families staying in exactly the same class as the preceding semester (not counting the summer session), with no changes in the number of registered children.
• Families with younger children who are now older than the 8 month age for auditing.
• Families who want to register for a different class from the preceding semester.

Summer registrations are taken in the order received!
